Two crash-rated travel seats built directly into the living area, replacing the front section of the L-bench. The seat is a Freedman Bellagio double on a FENTON FoldAway mounting plate, FMVSS and CMVSS compliant and safety tested to forces exceeding 14,000 lbs. Each position has a three-point seatbelt, and both have child restraint hooks for car seats. The plate bolts straight into the Sprinter’s OEM floor with no welding.
We upholster the seat in the same fabric as the rest of the interior to match the design aesthetic and keep the living room a lounge. Fold it flat and the electric drop-down bed works exactly as it does in the standard van. Fold it up vertically and the floor opens up, as well as an easier walkthrough for the partition door.
The trade-off is the front bench itself. You give up the storage inside it and the slide-out table through the sliding door. If you only need one extra seat, the jump seat keeps both.
